Do you visualize what you're reading from a first person, second person, or third person perspective? Which do you believe is most effective?

I believe that writing from a first person perspective is the most effective. It becomes more personal. Using active tense in verbs is also more effective. When I write poetry, I use 'I' instead of he or she. It's bolder and more dramatic.
