Practice, Practice, and more Practice. You may find that reading questions first makes it easier to identify answers when you see them. You may also want to do a quick survey of the reading prior to actually fully reading the material. So, there are lots of different ways to go about the critical reading, but I think practicing in advance of testing is always a good idea. You will get better if you work on it.
