What a wonderful question! I would set up a daily routine of reading. Several suggestions that might be applicable to the CAT are suitable for many advanced exams. One would be to try to find old copies of discontinued CAT exams for practice. Here in the US we can find some of the old exams on-line. If not the CAT, try procuring another advanced exam with reading comprehension section. Another source would be a CAT Study Guide that you might find in book stores or on-line. Finally, improving knowledge of advanced English vocabulary would aid in comprehension. Set up your daily routine knowing that the recommended steps In reading comprehension for the CAT exam are to read the passage, read the first question, go back to the passage to find the part that the question comes from, then use the elimination technique for the harder questions.
