Book Lover with a Master's Degree in English
Hello! There are many things you can do to create an immersive English environment right where you are. Start reading as much as you can in English, in whatever subjects interest you. These do not have to be difficult. In fact, if you read about something you already know a lot about, then you can focus on the language instead of having to also figure out what the text is saying. You might also read English translations of books you like. You've probably already heard this, but watch as many movies or television shows in English as possible, using English subtitles to help you put the sounds with the words. YouTube also has a number of channels dedicated to helping people learn English. You might also look for an English conversation group in your area so that you can find other English language learners with whom to practice. These are all things I've done to help me learn Spanish - I went to a conversation meetup group, I read Harry Potter y la piedra filosofal, I watched many shows and movies in Spanish, and I started listening to a Spanish learners' podcast. All of these things have helped me to greatly improve my Spanish. Feel free to send me a message if you would like more concrete recommendations!
