According to Guinness, the oldest US movie theater still in use is the Washington Iowa State Theater in.... yes, Iowa. It opened its doors in May of 1897 and is still showing movies to this day. The first moving picture there was shown on a cinematograph - a device that was both a camera AND a projector - that came all the way from France.
Showing movies for 125 years straight -- wow! That's a LOT of Milk Duds stuck to the floor!
