I would love to give a more descriptive answer but I need more of what you're trying to get at? Mary Shelley is a female author who is known for writing in gothic style. The gothic style has elements of fear, horror, death, gloom and maybe even supernatural. It was popular during the 18th century. And Mary Shelley is a well known female gothic writer, Frankenstein being her greatest example of this. The monster is in fact the monster of the book, it's super natural, and his creator is a burdened male protagonist.Ann Radcliffe, who was before Shelley's time is another female gothic writer. If you have a more pressing question to this please let me know.
