Although I am not sure what the topic of your paper is, I assume it has to do with Ancient Greece in some way. Generally, you want to give important general information to introduce the reader to the subject. What might be important info about Ancient Greece? Well, in Ancient Greece we saw the start of many technologies, studies, and many inventions. These things propelled our lives to where they are today- they are lasting achievements that are used today and thus are appropriate for a reader to learn about to get a sense of Ancient Greece and it's lasting importance to life today. They held the Olympic games, they developed Geometry and principles of math we still use today, they founded the first school of medicine, the first philosophers were from Ancient Greek, they had a democratic government like we do, and they studied science for the first time. We can look to Ancient Greece to find out where we got many of our ideas today, and how many things got invented and how many things got their start. You can use general info, or include info that's more specific to your topic as well. An introduction should include the most important historical events and the things that Ancient Greece is known for, or the things that someone might think of right away, like the things I jsut mentioned.
