By the way, I still think the poem is quoted incorrectly.  The speaker sounds like a pious man, and I cannot believe he would have said "the sins of Christ".

That is the way it is written in the assignment I was given ill make sure to make my teacher aware of this.

The phrase "it is my sins have made me brave" looks shaky too.  A pious man would be in fear of standing before God knowing he has sins.  He would not be brave about it.  He would be humble and repentant.
