Could you start with the name associated with each state change since these names are pretty common? Think about what you may have heard in Earth Science class or in Home Economics.
I'll help you with the least common: Solid to Gas is called Sublimation so the verb form would be Subliming. Its opposite is usually called Deposition or Desubliming, depends on how your teacher or textbook treats the vocabulary.
As far as the other things this general rule should help:
Changes that move towards more solid things will move them to less energy, slower particle motion, and the release of heat. Changes that move towards more gaseous things will move them to more energy, higher particle motion, and heat being absorbed (typically we would say absorption of heat).
