We know that Gilgamesh is completely shattered by Enkidu's death. Your poem needs to convey this grief. Try putting yourself in Gilgamesh's shoes and imagining someone you care about is Enkidu. It's not a pleasant thought, but it may put you in the frame of mind to write your poem.
Similes are quite easy to incorporate. You need to compare two or more things using "like" or "as." Try comparing how you think Gilgamesh's grief is like something else. For example, "His grief was enormously heavy like a ton of bricks set upon his chest."
