PATIENT :-) Elem/Middle MATH and WRITING; HS SAT and COLLEGE ESSAYS!
This type of poetry assignment’s tough; replacing one iamb each time, strange, odd;
Disruptive as it is to write this way, it simply will not do to skip spondees.
Iambic verses flow right out with ease, but pyrrhic victory isn’t so fun.
An anapest’s a tricky one at best; its own iambic vibe not soon overcome.
The dactyl is a fitting way to end, as now you will have done five pairs skillfully.
Matt in New York (The Bard of Ossining, perhaps?) :-)
