The words notice and know are different. To notice something is to observe it happening- it is something from the speaker's point of view (saying "I notice the bird flying across the lake." shows that you are observing or seeing the bird flying). Sometimes noticing something is making an observation about how someone else looks or feels ( In this example- "I notice you seem sad lately." the speaker is making an observation about how someone else looks or is acting. This may or may not be true, but it's what the speaker is seeing.

To know something means it is a fact- it's not an observation of something you are seeing, but something you know in your mind. "I know the best shortcut across town" isn't an observation, or seeing something happening. "I know that 2+2=4" is also a statement of a fact, not a visual observation.

To notice something is to see it happening or to observe it. To know something is to be aware of it, like knowing a fact.
