I specialize in IELTS and TOEFL test preparation. I have my own materials and also use sample tests for practicing. My strategy is to introduce each section to my students (reading, listening, writing, and speaking). After providing them with input on how to best master each section, we practice together, and I provide my students with feedback so that they can learn and improve. In addition to pure test preparation, I often provide input on grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. How much of what we need to practice and for how long depends on each student.
