Elementary Educator: Reading, Writing and Speech made easy!
The most crucial way to support your child is to be actively involved in their education. Studies show when a parent is involved in their child's education it leads the child to develop positive feelings about school. The first thing you want to do is foster a partnership with your child's teacher and school staff. Get to know who's at your child's school because there are many people at your child's school who are willing help your child learn and grow. It is important to support your child academically if they are struggling to keep up in school. If your child is having problems with learning, ask the school for an evaluation. The teacher might be able to provide accommodations for your child in class. It is important to make sure that what the child learns in school is also reinforced by completed assigned homework. Set aside a quiet place for your child to study each night and explain the importance of education. If it is difficult for you to help your child with homework each night. I'd be more than happy to help tutor your child.
