1+1 in conventional decimal system = 2
or in any base number system > 2
1+1 in binary = 10
just two digits in binary, 1 and 0
in a number system base 1, then
1+1 = 11
that's the choice, 2, 10 or 11
but you have an odd symbol after the 2nd 1, 1+1|
it could mean 1+11, then the answer is 12
or you might accidentally have hit 1+1| when you really meant 1+17 as 7 is next to | on some keyboards, then the answer would 18.
or maybe you left out another absolute value sign and the problem was |1+1|, which means the answer has to be positive. But 1+1 is already +2, so the absolute value signs don't change the result. For this problem, they're redundant.
