Yes, study skills can definitely be improved. BUT, it takes constant, everyday effort on the student's part in order for that to happen. After teachers and even parents provide an outline for a routine and corresponding series of tips for the student to follow and practice regularly in order for them to improve their study habits in school, it is up to the student to bring it forth in the flesh by maintaining a steady rhythm that allows them to keep it going once they get started. Some students get on the right track but then (slowly) fall off the rails due to them not maintaining the given daily ritual for reasons that often include: schoolwork getting difficult, poor letter grades that cause the student to lose confidence in themselves, and even high-level letter grades that cause the success to go right to the student's head and them in turn believing that they are permanently set moving forward without them subsequently needing to continue to give the necessary effort to their ongoing success 'round the clock. But if the student doesn't neglect their studies and gives it their all at all times, they will succeed in multiple ways.
