May I suggest that you use repetition and write down your answers to the questions. For example, if you are have a test or quiz on a specific chapter, put all the questins in random order. One by one, write down your answer to each question. When finished check your answers. Repeat this process for any answers your answered incorrectly. Continue until you have answered all the questions correctly. This study method utalizes the way our brains absorb information. It has been proven, that our memories repond best to this type of stimuli. It may seem boring, but this will bring you success on your test. This formula can be applied for all tests, even end of the year test, which can include everything studied during the school year.

I don't think there is truly such a thing as a learning style. People learn with all of the available means. You can't isolate seeing from hearing or bodily experience while attending to a lecture.The question is to actually listen and read actively, engaging the text and materials (e.g. conversing with the author). I think that aside from study groups, rewriting things in your own words, researching secondary sources and memorizing, one must focus on understanding. This mainly happens when one discusses things with others and/ or when one asks questions. Perhaps if you really are struggling talk to your teachers and follow their advice.
