May I suggest that you use repetition and write down your answers to the questions. For example, if you are have a test or quiz on a specific chapter, put all the questins in random order. One by one, write down your answer to each question. When finished check your answers. Repeat this process for any answers your answered incorrectly. Continue until you have answered all the questions correctly. This study method utalizes the way our brains absorb information. It has been proven, that our memories repond best to this type of stimuli. It may seem boring, but this will bring you success on your test. This formula can be applied for all tests, even end of the year test, which can include everything studied during the school year.

There are several ways through which you can study to prepare for a test. Here are some suggestions:

  • Get plenty of rest and nourishment.
  • Set aside a specific place and time for studying, and then do nothing else.
  • Find a partner from the same class, or course, and setup times to review material together.
  • Find ways to relate your information to something that you know. For example, fit needed words and definitions into the tune of song that you like.

I hope that these help.

There are many ways to study for a test. You may use visuals, auditory repetition of information, or study groups. How you choose to prepare should be driven not only by the amount of time you have available but also the information you need to learn and your learning style. If you don't know your learning style, I would suggest that you find out. Using study skills appropriate to your learning style can greatly improve your tests outcomes.
