I do think it’s important for your child to connect with the tutor. Usually, if a student is pursuing tutoring it is because they are struggling to learn something and may be feeling frustrated or overwhelmed. If they then don’t feel as if the tutor’s teaching style or personality is not a good fit, they will likely struggle to be open to learning new things or may be too distracted on the lack of fit to really be processing the academic information.

Students connect with tutors for many different reasons. Most of all, they need to connect with tutors if they are struggling in school somehow, or if they are interested in learning something new and expanding upon what they already know pertaining to things they are currently interested- and strong in on their own. Over time, based on their level of effort and corresponding scholastic success, students can build confidence in their everyday work endeavors--thanks in large part also to the ongoing highly professional, qualified assistance from tutors every step of the way.

In order to help your child excel, I see the whole child. Making sure I am connecting with your child is vital to the success of our time together!
