The internet is already regulated, just like so many other things in our world. The question is not whether to regulate, but how. If you want to see different approaches, I encourage you to look at the way other developed countries handle internet regulation. Specifically, I'd start with Canada and probably Singapore. See how they do things, then compare it to the US system of very lax regulations with a few highly regulated content areas. Which approach do you think is best?
