John would have to move to Wyoming in order to run for the Senate. Two examples prove this: 1) Hillary Clinton moved to New York so that she could run for the Senate and 2) Dr. Mehmet Oz had to establish a residence in Pennsylvania so that he could run as a Senate candidate in 2022. I'm sure that John would enjoy moving to Wyoming but I would hope that he would find an apartment for his mother in Wyoming as well.

John is 33. He was born in Columbus, Ohio. Hypothetically, he lives in the 14th Ohio House of Representatives District. He has never traveled abroad. In fact, he has never traveled outside of Columbus. He is a law-abiding citizen. He is good to his mom and he votes in every election.
Can John serve as a senator of Wyoming?
A. Yes
B. No
Would no be the correct answer?

You are correct. Generally, Congressmen have to be residents of the states they wish to represent for so long. Being that John lived most of his life in Ohio, he could serve and represent Ohio, but he isn’t a long time resident of Wyoming, making him ineligible to run.

No is the correct answer!
To be a senator, you have to reside in the state you represent. So the fact that John doesn't live in Wyoming automatically excludes him. He is old enough and has lived in the US for long enough, and that's great he is good to his mom, but he should run for senator of Ohio instead of Wyoming :)
