Question about harmonic oscillation of a pendulum clock

A pendulum clock - is a clock that uses a pendulum, a swinging weight, as its timekeeping element.

Pendulum's amplitude of oscillation decreases with the stretching of the spring. How does the accuracy of the clock change?

Grigoriy S.

Could you be more "accurate"? Are you talking about sPring or sTring ? If you stretch the spring, its amplitude is increasing. It is decreasing, when you compressed it. The period of oscillation of the spring does not depend on its amplitude.

The problem is talking about spring, not the body on the string. your formula cannot be applied to the given case.

Ah I see. If the string is replaced by a spring, it is more complicated.
