The Renaissance was European cultural movement that took place after the end of the medieval period in the 14th, 15th and 16th century. This renaissance period is best known for its achievements in art, literature and music. In other words this particular period can also be termed as the re-birth of science and culture from ancient to the modern world. The renaissance first began in Italy and slowly moved to France, Germany and England.
The scientific revolution began almost at the end of renaissance and the scientific methods were further developed during the renaissance period. The major theme of the Renaissance is Humanism, which stresses out the importance of human abilities and actions, literally gave rise to many discoveries during that particular period by great scientists like Newton and Galileo. The Renaissance made some important contributions, massive innovations like printing press, medicine, submarine and microscope. During the entire Renaissance period scientific knowledge expanded rapidly.
The development of modern science was born from the Renaissance idea that humankind rules nature. The concepts of human freedom and republicanism were adopted during the Renaissance, in fact the formation of government in the united states was also born during renaissance.
