The problem or subject that is going to be used for research can be related to the current events going on in the world; how the events and issues going on in the world affected teaching & and education. But, of course, it is not a must. The chosen topic can also be one that includes all times and all subjects of education.

I thought about working on an educational problem that is also connected with human nature & psychology as I am also interested in these areas of study. However, I could not find an appropriate topic, and I felt stuck. I’d be glad if you could help me with this one, thanks in advance.

Some topics you might want to consider are at the intersection of psychological concepts and education, which have both become more prevalent and pressing with the current world climate, both medically and politically. There has been a large uptick in students (especially younger ones) being diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues, which used to go largely unnoticed and dismissed. Online learning and how it affects both students and teachers of all ages is also a topic that can be addressed in your research; many teachers have been diagnosed with mental health disorders and have found the switch from in-person to online learning to be stressful and energy-consuming. With mental health problems skyrocketing in education and education staying at the same level it has been at for decades, what reform needs to happen to tend to the psychological needs of students and teachers in this new stressful and online environment? How many people are struggling with this shift? Focusing more on online learning and education, you can talk about the need to connect with others and obtain crucial socializing skills at a young age, and how online learning has affected it, if at all. I agree with Ariel H: many teachers are leaving the field, and our surrounding Universities are having difficulty filling the College of Education. No one wants to teach, anymore, because the stress and expectations. I was schooled in the 60s, at Catholic School. What I see in the schools is a shock. I would teach a dual enrolled college course at the high school, and the disrespect was horrible. I just put in deducted points for behavior. Because I was the college instructor, the administration could not override me. The regular teachers have no such power. Soon the student saw their grades decreasing and settled down. We need behavior modification and consequences in order for our teachers to adequately teach the subject material.
