With only one experiment it can be difficult to ensure preciseness.
Does a comma belong after "experiment"? Why or why not?

This sentences starts with a prepositional phrase. Previously, students were told to use a comma after an introductory phrase. More current teaching would tell students that they don't need a comma unless the introductory phrase has at least five words. Since this phrase has only 4 words, current teaching would say no. However, there are exceptions. One of those would be clarity. Does it read better with a comma? If you are writing for college, then you might want to consult the recommended handbook for further clarity.
As a word of caution, an introductory dependent clause is always followed by a comma. Therefore, it is important that you be able to distinguish between phrases and dependent clauses.
I hope this helps!

A comma belongs here because it serves as both an introduction for "experiment" and a break so that the reader can slightly slow down.02/13/22
