asked 01/20/22Where do commas belong in this sentence?
Where all should I put commas in this sentence and why? Should any be put in/removed or is it fine the way it is?
Overall, I was told I'm allowed to make a new account but I'm not sure how to do so on mobile when I'm required to login using Apple ID, so I just tried switching to another Apple ID I know instead.

Hi Jordan,
This sentence can be rewritten in one of the following two ways according to the comma usage:
Overall, I was told I'm allowed to make a new account. But I'm not sure how to do so on mobile when I'm required to login using Apple ID, so I just tried switching to another Apple ID I know instead.

Either of the two above options requires there to be two separate sentences since the addition or deletion of commas within the original sentence would cause it to be a run-on sentence.

Hi Jordan, I believe commas should go anywhere in the sentence you would pause while saying the sentence. After writing a sentence, speak it outload to yourself. Anywhere you notice you naturally pause (and not just for a breath), place a comma. As for (;) it is the same principal wither when pausing or when you'd end a sentence. However-you use it when you switch subjects within the same sentence. For example: We can go to the museum to do some research; Mondays are pretty quiet there. I ordered a cheeseburger for lunch; life’s too short for counting calories. comma : Grabbing her umbrella, Kate raced out of the house. Confused by her sister’s sudden change in mood, Jill stayed quiet.01/23/22
