Calcium is what makes up bone and bone structures, it is throughout the entire bone. Osteoblasts (cells that make bone) use calcium in order to create bone. If the body is low on calcium, Osteoclasts (bone destroying cells) break down bone. This is how bones are able to store and use calcium.
