What does it mean if something is stochastic?

I think the answer is C because if you have a bunch of data you can find the avg. and potentially predict what may happen next. So maybe you can predict the probability of a mutation in a population.

A) The outcome is completely random.

B) The outcome is completely predictable.

C) The outcome of one event is unpredictable, but the average outcome of many events is predictable.


D) The outcome of one event is predictable, but the average outcome of many events is unpredictable.
