Screenwriting
I'm going to guess the other half of your question! Are there several moments in a film ...that are most important for moving a film forward?
Yes and they aren't necessarily in any suggested structure spots. The screenwriter has to trust theirselves when they rely on them. Often they are done in a look. A look in which someone connects with a forbidden friend, a newcomer, a partner-to-be - anything that the audience shouldn't miss (depends on experienced writing/directing) and comes early in the story usually. Others may be the moment when a hidden character sees something; THe missed look - a lover doesn't see someting. Its amazing how powerful those moments can be and should be and they are in the category where less-is-more!
Let me know what more you would like to know (particularly if my answer isn't what you were referring to!) Judy
