What aspects of history do you struggle to understand?

The student could have trouble understanding why certain events happened, what form of government was in place, what ideas were founded by different people of different civilizations or even how they began.

There are many other factors as to why students would struggle with the various aspects of world history. Students need to learn why there were certain failures, successes and contributions to humanity that occured in human history in order to learn why we are different today.

Sometimes the hardest part of understanding history, or more importantly, a historical event is viewing it through all of the facets. It is important to remember how historical events are multi-faceted because there are multiple perspectives in any case. Viewing through all of these is the greatest challenge. In turn, seeking these multiple views is rewarding because learning about an event from different angles achieves a clearer picture of the event or person. Without these multiple views the information would be flat, biased, and incomplete. This is difficult, even hard at times, but worth the time and effort. History is humanity’s story and by viewing these perspectives you can see how history connects all of us as well.
