According to The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis, what are two bad consequences that result from a habit of flippancy?

What are two bad consequences that result from a habit of flippancy?

For this question I found this: "it deadens, instead of sharpening, the intellect; and it excites no affection between those who practise it". (Chapter 11, page 56)

So basically, it dulls the mind rather than enhancing it, and it breeds no affection among individuals who engage in flippancy.

Would this be correct?
