A city is going to build a new swimming pool at the recreation center. Assuming that the pool is 10 feet deep, approximately how many cubic meters of water will this pool hold when filled? (3.3 feet = 1 meter)
Length of the pool = 50 meters
Width of the pool = 20 meters
Depth/Height of pool = 3 meters. 10/3.3 = 3
Volume of pool = (Length) (Width) (Height)
.........................= (50)(20)(3)
.........................= (1,000)(3)
.........................= 3,000 cubic meters
CHOICE B.) 3,000
A.) 1,000
B.) 3,000
C.) 10,000
D.) 30,000
E.) 100,000
Hope this was hepful A.
