Hi Karen,

Overall, here, the student was able to accurately read the text, which includes eight sight words from Fry's first 100 list ( https://www.k12reader.com/worksheet/fry-words-complete-list/view/), so their sight word knowledge is appropriate to a Level B, Fountas & Pinnell.

You'll want to tune into where the student made an error on page 3, mixing up "dig" and "dog," marking an error in medial sounds. Dig is not very logical here with syntax cues, but visual cues are limited, so appropriate cuing for the student might include prompting them to think about what you might see on a scooter ride through a neighborhood as well as cuing them to segment and blend d-o-g.
