What I like to do with lists like these is first read through them and see what images start to pop up in my head. I already have a storm brewing what with the maelstrom there. Think what images or genre are starting to brew in your mind.
Then group the words together that seem to be connected to a single scene, describing a similar thing or within the same conversation. Now you have your broken down scenes, put them in order and write your story and have fun with it!
Hopefully there is a conflict and people arguing or a problem that the characters might not make it through. How is it going to end? Think of something satisfying, maybe a lesson we learn or we learn not to underestimate this character of yours. That button at the end is usually the hardest but it'll all make sense once you find it.
