You need to provide more information before anyone will be able to give you a useful answer. Firstly, in what way are you trying to show 2020's influence on 2021? There are lots of ways. You could show that the pandemic has changed fashion by discussing the mass-adoption of masks. You could show that socialization practices have changed by discussing the decline in face-to-face gatherings and large-venue events like concerts. You could discuss the effect on teleconferencing technology as everybody began working from home. You could discuss the changing gas-prices. You could point out that many of the social conflicts that are currently in the news (e.g. George Floyd and BLM) arose in the first months of quarantine when everybody was stressed, uncertain about the future, and waiting for the next shoe to drop. You could discuss how the pandemic and the above-mentioned social unrest affected elections at the congressional and presidential level. That just scratches the surface. What are you asking?
Secondly, what is your audience? Is this for your personal blog? Is this for a professional meeting? What sort of evidence is going to be expected? Do you need to be prepared to take questions?
One of my instructors in college told me "the reader is blind," meaning that I needed to write papers without assuming that the reader understood what I was assuming, or how I was defining terms, or even that they understood what I meant when I used unclear phrasing. Your question doesn't provide any of that information so all of your readers on this site are effectively blind regarding how to help you. I suggest you edit your question to provide a clear question with a narrow scope, so that we can help you.
