Do I need to study for the GRE psychology subject test?
YES! Think of it as the psychology AP exam on steroids! There might even be some concepts you haven't heard of before if you took classes in undergrad mostly in a specific area of psychology (research, cognitive, social, developmental, clinical, etc.) Look back through your class notes, your AP study materials if you still have them (but make sure that it was after the DSM-V was released or else some info might be incorrect)!

Yes, I would highly recommend it. I am currently in a psychology doctoral program and was required to take it. Instead of looking through years of undergrad notes, I bought a Psychology GRE prep book for under 30 dollars, which contained most of the information I saw on the exam. When you buy your prep book, make sure to get one with some practice tests in the back, so that you can practice answering these questions under a time limit.
