Voting may be directly connected to biodiversity If voters choose to vote for candidates that have commitments to re-wilding or restoring natural landscapes. There are modern examples of elected officials who have protected large natural areas and there are also examples of elected officials who sought to destroy large areas of land in the name of temporary profits.
