There are many Spanish speakers that border the U.S. because many Central Americans from countries such as Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, as well as Mexico come in through Mexico and settle in states such as California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Most of these immigrants will go where they will be able to communicate in their native language and find ways to prosper with the help of their Hispanic community.

There are many Spanish speakers in the U.S. states that border Mexico because many of the immigrants that immigrate to the United States move to the states near Mexico. This is why we can find so many Spanish speakers in states that border Mexico because there is a large population of native Spanish speakers who immigrate to those states and as a result the citizens of those states also learn how to speak Spanish in order to be able to communicate with the large population of native Spanish speakers.
