Wyzant Does Not Allow Me To Apply for Qualified Jobs
To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Donovan M. I am approved by Wyzant to teach online as well as by traveling. I am approved in Spanish, Geography, U.S. History, TOEFL, and Algebra 1.
I recently tried to apply for a Spanish tutoring job that was available. However, the title was grey instead of blue, so it did not allow me to apply for it. It also did not say I was not qualified on top.
Why is it that Wyzant Does not allow me to apply for jobs in the 5 subjects that I am qualified for; even when I always get emails about student opportunities, including ones that no one has applied for yet?

I talked to a representative from Wyzant and they told me that after you finish registration, their team has to review and approve your application before jobs will start showing up as blue for you. Hope that helps everyone!

It's only supposed to take a week and the representative I spoke to when I wrote my original answer told me that I'd get approved in the next few days, but it actually took me 14 days from starting my account to becoming approved.

Anyone know what they could possibly be checking on? I actually paid for a background check on me (which wasn't required) and I got a message that the report came back clean, of course...that was a week ago, and I still may not be approved for another day or two. But if they're not waiting for results of a background check, what else could be taking so long?

Another thing some employers look into (so I've heard) is a prospective employee's credit history/score. Okay, that's fine, but they didn't say they'd be running a credit check on me, so again, that doesn't seem to be the holdup. Again, my background check came up clean...

This is happening to me as well. I keep taking other quizzes to see if I can find jobs in that subject but even when I am verified for all of mine the title still appear grey and wont let me click it.
