Sometimes I have difficulty studying at home if the people around me are loud and active while I am trying to be peaceful and focused on my work at hand.
If a similar situation applies to you, you might want to try separating yourself from others in your room with the door closed to prevent the sound from those around you from reaching you while you are trying to study, and politely requesting that those who are around you respect your wishes. It is also a good idea to put away and turn off all of your electronic devices so that they do not distract you in any way while you are trying to study. Sometimes turning on an extra light near you can help you focus better since you will be able to see the content before you more clearly than before.
Also, setting aside a specific time of day (even for just one hour) every day for studying can help you become more organized on the home-disciplinary front and train your brain to develop a better work pattern and routine for yourself.
Good luck! I hope this helps.
