Self-discipline is all about having, taking, and showing initiative. Self-motivation is a key factor in developing your own incentive. If you are able to operate independently (over time), self-discipline will begin to develop on your part and your study skills will fall into place. Knowing that you have to get something done (almost like a chore in the case of studying) can often be enough of an obligation to simply get up and do it. Learning from mistakes can help a person enhance their self-discipline and ensuing study skills. It is all about the value of life experience. Once you develop a rhythm and routine, studying will become a normal part of your everyday life and it will seem less challenging than it did at first.
Good luck with it all!
