Hi Taryn,
take the $60 and multiply it by the fraction given 2/3 and you get 2*60=120, 120/3=$40
You do the same for all the others and add them up to answer a.
35*7/10=$24.5, 45*5/6=$37.5 Total=$72
Then add up the prices without multiplying by the fractions given. Then subtract what you got for part a from it.
60+35+45=$140-$72=$68
What fraction of the total did ........68/140
