Do you know what Binge Drinking is? I suggest you look it up and see what you find on AA.

Yep I know what binge drinking is, I don't have a lot of knowledge about writing discursive essays. I don't know what I can discuss about it, to be honest.01/27/20

Start by writing what you know. This will be a very rough draft. We ca discuss this as many times as you like.01/27/20

Tell me what you know. Then we can figure out what you can discuss about it.03/03/20

Can you think of both good and bad things about binge drinking? That’s what makes a discussion. Or if someone you know has talked about how much fun it is to drink so much so quickly, and you know better, you can carry on that discussion.

Doing some academic research may be the way to go. Try reading a few articles from google scholar or perhaps your local library. You may also access such articles on database search engines like EBSCO host. For instance, here is the top google scholar article, titled Binge Drinking Among US Adults (https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/article-abstract/195701). To get new articles on google scholar, click the "since 2020" button under the "get articles from..." column on the left hand side of the screen. There may also be health-related info online that shows you a more scientific view of the effects of binge drinking. Because you paper is short, you may not have to read to much. Just decide what angle you will take. Health, social impact, statistical, or even personal. If you have no personal connection, you could even find one!

Start by defining the main message. In this case, it might be something like:
"Binge drinking can have serious health effects"
OR
"Binge drinking can make you a social outcast"
Then, do some web searches for background information and statistics.
Then, make an outline---as part of this consider a time-honored format for essays and presentations:
- Tell us what you are going to tell us---the introduction
- Tell us--the main body
- Tell us what you told us Summarize (ideally by showing us that you did what you promised in step 1.
For more a better help, tell us what you know about the subject, and what source material you have read

In a descriptive or expository essay, you are explaining the facts of the topic. So the introduction can state what binge drinking is, include some statistics from a reputable site (not wikipedia). Then the next paragraph you could state the reasons binge drinking is bad for your body. Another paragraph could describe how it can effect relationships or mental health. A third paragraph should explain the reasons why people binge drink (peer pressure, depression, coping mechanism, etc). Finally, conclude your essay by quickly summarizing or restating the main points of you essay. Good luck!
