Who said this? Ok I will look that up later. but as for life, think of a wedding my friend. The writer on his or her deathbed wants to say I was there!! I did this and this and that! I was in love with and never far from amazement (and wonder, beauty...other description words, in his/her world) as tho' describing waiting to be married. A lady standing at the altar waiting for her love is all excited and waiting for the future to begin with her love. The groom only has to accept her love and off they go into their future life together. A "you may kiss the bride" moment for every day of the author's life, if you will try and visualize the play on words here: he or she is taking every moment as it comes, open to new adventures, loving life and the expectant joy of "now" not worrying about later. And when later comes I want to look back and say oh, I was not afraid to go out into the world and see what I could see. Do what I could do, and enjoy myself. Love life for the adventure of it, not for the everyday same old boringness we all see, but for the little bits of sunshine we can all find somewhere in a garden, in a baby's smile, in a butterfly floating past, in a snowed-in cabin, visiting the county fair, seeing a lovely mountain or ocean at sunset and enjoying that moment with someone special. It's all of this and so much more.
You can use all of this or none of this. but I am pretty sure this question is an opinion question and your answer cannot be wrong if it is how you feel. I gave you one option of looking at this poem/quote. but if you see something else--another way of interpretation now that you've read it a few times, you go ahead and answer it your way.
good luck.
