Feeding animals or plants with coffee?

What happens if you feed animals or plants with coffee? Say, just once, or daily? There are some extra coffees in the pot, and I don't know whether it is a good idea feeding animals or plants with coffee? [The coffee could be a cooldown one, it does not need to be hot. But it could be cool or warm.]

Caffeine/coffee is not good for animals because it affects their neurological system much more than it does the human body.Cool coffee given diluted to house plants every so often can act as a good natural fertilizer. It can also be added to compost. However, it is acidic so doing so can lower natural soil pH and reduce the plants optimal growth.
