my question is that ligament is a connection of bone to bone so why it is present in liver ?

You are correct in that ligaments hold bone to bone in a joint, but they also are the connective tissue that holds organs in place. Dictionaries define ligaments as tough, flexible, fibrous tissues that connect bones at a joint or hold organs in place.
