Why do some trailers contain scenes that aren't in the movie?
I'm an avid watcher of trailers. I watch trailers over and over again. I even watch trailers of movies that I don't plan on watching. But sometimes, I notice that some trailers contain some additional scenes that aren't in the movie.I noticed this in a few trailers/movies before. A notable example is the [trailer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cxixDgHUYw) of [Justice League (2017)](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0974015/) where the following [amazing] scenes aren't in the movie:> - Cyborg [from 00:49 to 00:53](https://youtu.be/3cxixDgHUYw?t=48).> - Aquaman [from 01:14 to 01:17](https://youtu.be/3cxixDgHUYw?t=73).> - Cyborg [from 01:22 to 01:26](https://youtu.be/3cxixDgHUYw?t=81).> - The Flash [from 01:26 to 01:29](https://youtu.be/3cxixDgHUYw?t=85).> - Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Cyborg [from 01:58 to 02:02](https://youtu.be/3cxixDgHUYw?t=117).So, **Why do trailers have those additional scenes? Are those scenes filmed just for the trailers? Isn't that needlessly expensive?**
To keep you watching the credits. Many people bail out at the credits and filmmakers have become pretty pissed off at the lack of recognition. There are so many people involved in the film and they get ignored. It forces people to sit and look for the reward of the end film short.
