The Berlin Conference led to Imperialism because this causes what is called the Scramble for Africa. During the Berlin Conference, the nations of Europe divided the continent of Africa up amongst themselves to try and attain the natural resources that were in Africa as well as the opportunity to colonize the areas. Imperialism is using diplomatic or military force to expand the boundaries of the nation. By dividing up Africa at the Berlin Conference, it enabled the nations of Europe to use imperialism for their own personal gain.
