A Uniquely Proficient English Teacher
Of the myriad ways that Shakespeare was able to influence modern day English, the most obvious way would be his habit of creating new words, or word coining. He would use words like they were lego blocks and would manipulate and build with them as he needed. Some examples are dwindle, lonely, and lackluster. In some cases, he would manipulate prefixes to expand the use of a word (e.g. undress, unreal, unearthly, etc.).
This is just one, superficial, way in which Shakespeare had a direct impact on modern English.
