Is Hulk a pure CGI being?

In The Incredible Hulk and The Avengers, the Hulk is an obvious CGI character. However, I am unclear as to how much of him is actual CGI vs motion capture or if his face is a real person's face or another part of the wonders of CGI, etc? How much of the Hulk can be attributed to a real entity and how much is pure CGI?

The motion capture suit has tracking points on it that helps the post-production team fit the movement and emotions of Mark Ruffalo onto the Hulk model. The data from the suit (and tracking dots put on Ruffalo's face) track motion that can be used as data for the post team to easily transfer to the model. This is so the team doesn't have to move everything manually, and instead make minor adjustments.
