Although there is much use of foreshadowing in this story, I would think the one most clear and important one is the dire warning from Mr. Morris when Mr. White retrieves the monkey paw from the fire where Mr. Morris was attempting to destroy it. He tells him any result is going to be his own fault now. I love this story and the themes/plot have been adapted to other literature and film numerous times.
